Concerns and complaints

Concerned about a situation? Choose the appropriate process. ACSSQ can receive a concern about a member or a complaint about its own services, activities or decisions.

ACSSQ is a professional association that promotes competent practice and a professional image for its members. It encourages self-regulation within its association framework and supports members when shortcomings are identified. It does not issue CoSS qualifications, conduct regulatory inspections or exercise the disciplinary powers of a professional order.

Two ways to contact ACSSQ

Report a concern

Your concern relates to a member’s professional practices or conduct, the use of the ACSSQ name or logo, or information published by the association.

Describe the observed facts, date and context without presenting an allegation as an established fact. Within its association framework, ACSSQ reviews improvement needs, supports the member and may suggest mentoring, training or appropriate follow-up. The person concerned must have an opportunity to explain their situation. Matters within a competent authority’s jurisdiction are directed to that authority.

Report a concern by email

File a complaint about the association

Your complaint concerns a service received from ACSSQ, an activity, the handling of your application or an association decision.

Specify the steps already taken, any response received and the correction you seek. A complaint to ACSSQ does not replace recourse to a competent authority or suspend its deadlines.

File a complaint by email

Prepare your first message

The buttons open your email application; they do not send anything automatically. You can also write to admin@acssq.org. If your concern involves someone with access to this mailbox, first ask for another contact through the board of directors, without initially sending sensitive details.

Confidentiality and follow-up

Concerns and complaints are not published on the website. Information received is used to understand your concern, respond and determine appropriate follow-up. The association’s mailbox may be accessed by people authorized to handle it; it is not an anonymous channel. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed when follow-up requires disclosure authorized or required by law.

For a question about your personal information, include “Confidentiality — attention Cédric Thibault” in your message. Consult the privacy policy for your rights and the privacy officer’s contact details.
